Physics tuition for IIT-JEE and Class XII

Physics is not a list of formulas. It is a way of describing how the world behaves — and once a student sees it that way, numericals stop being guesswork. Our Physics tutorials are built on that idea, for board exams and for JEE.

Electric field of a dipole

Field lines leave the positive charge and end on the negative one — a picture that explains direction, strength and why lines never cross.

What the Physics syllabus asks of each student

The same chapter is examined differently by CBSE and by JEE. This map shows where the emphasis lies, so a student knows what “prepared” means for their exam.

Physics topics and how they are examined in CBSE Class XII and JEE
AreaCBSE Class XII emphasisIIT-JEE emphasis
Mechanics Class XI baseFoundation for Class XII; not in the XII board paperHeavily tested: laws of motion, energy, rotation, gravitation
ElectrostaticsCoulomb’s law, field, potential, capacitors; key derivationsGauss’s law applications, potential energy, capacitor networks
Current electricityOhm’s law, Kirchhoff’s rules, Wheatstone bridge, meter bridgeComplex circuits, RC behaviour, instruments
Magnetism & EMIBiot–Savart, Ampère’s law, moving coil galvanometer, Faraday’s and Lenz’s lawsForces on charges and conductors, induced EMF in moving systems
Alternating current & EM wavesAC circuits, resonance, transformers, the EM spectrumLCR analysis, phasors, power
OpticsRay optics, lenses, instruments, wave optics and interferenceMulti-surface systems, Young’s double slit variations
Modern physicsPhotoelectric effect, atoms, nuclei, semiconductorsQuantitative problems on photons, Bohr model and decay

Syllabi are revised from time to time. We follow the current CBSE curriculum and the official JEE syllabus for the exam year.

Common difficulties

Where Physics students lose marks — and how we fix it

Most lost marks trace back to a handful of habits. Each one can be corrected with deliberate practice.

01Skipping the diagram
Free-body diagrams, ray diagrams and circuit sketches are where the problem is actually solved. We insist on them — and grade them.
02Sign conventions
Optics and electrostatics punish inconsistent signs. Students learn one convention and apply it every time.
03Units and dimensions
Dimensional checks catch errors before the answer is written. It becomes a two-second habit.
04Memorising instead of deriving
A derivation understood once is never forgotten; a memorised one disappears under exam stress.
05Reading graphs
Slopes and areas carry physical meaning. We practise interpreting graphs, not just plotting them.
06Rushing to substitute numbers
Solving symbolically first shows the structure of the answer and makes checking easy.

Physics tuition FAQs

Is your Physics tuition for JEE or for Class XII boards?

Both. Class XII students get board-focused teaching — NCERT concepts, derivations and well-presented answers — while IIT-JEE aspirants go further into problem solving. Many students need both at once, and we teach them together.

My child understands the theory but cannot solve numericals. Can you help?

This is one of the most common difficulties in Physics. It usually comes from skipping the setup: drawing the diagram, choosing the system and writing the governing equation before substituting numbers. We practise that setup explicitly until it becomes a habit.

Do you teach Class XII Physics at home?

Home tutoring is available for CBSE Class XII students in Kota. Share your area and preferred timings and we will let you know what can be arranged.

How important are derivations for the CBSE Physics paper?

Derivations are regularly asked in the CBSE Class XII theory paper, and writing them clearly — with a labelled diagram and stated assumptions — is a reliable way to secure marks. We practise the important derivations in board format.

Is the Physics practical part of the board result?

Yes. Under the current CBSE scheme, Class XII Physics has a 70-mark theory paper and 30 marks for practical work and internal assessment. Check the latest scheme on the CBSE academic website each year.

Struggling with a Physics chapter?

Tell us the class, the board or exam, and the topics that feel hardest. We will suggest a classroom batch or a home tutor accordingly.
